1.
Your soul cannot be damaged in this incarnation
2.
By just being in a body you are learning so much. No matter what happens in your life, by simply being here you are learning and growing in so many ways that you couldn’t even imagine.
3.
The body and mind naturally have a way of processing energy and getting lost in thought is part of it, when we give ourselves the time and space to do whatever mentally, our energy systems start to unwind and figure things out.
4.
If you feel unfulfilled in the physical, try turning to the spiritual- it’s free and endlessly fulfilling
5.
Next time you are in a difficult situation, stop and think-what’s going on around me is just light waves vibrating as atoms influencing other atoms… it’s not personal.
6.
Sit with your experience, the mind will let go when it’s ready and realizes it’s safe. No need to force anything.
7.
I don’t have a meditation practice but rather a waiting practice, the mind and body sort the rest out
8.
Meditation isn’t about changing the mind. It’s about being with the mind as it is.
9.
When you sit in meditation you get used to sitting with the liminal state of mind. This in turn makes everyday activities easier as they seem merely as distractions such as the ones you experience in meditation
10.
Keep searching never stop trying to find coping mechanisms and outlets to live a good life
11.
Relax into it
12.
It’s not that big a deal, being human is just a flick of consciousness inside the vastness of the universe
13.
If you’re able to turn towards it, just that little bit- that’s where change starts to happen. Where we can let go just a bit and stop the running
14.
There is so much in this moment
15.
Life involves suffering, there will be a lot less if you can meet it, accept it, and learn to allow it to move through (meditation can teach how to do that)
16.
Stress is two conflicting desires
17.
No matter how much hardship you face. Your soul will never be hurt it is always separate from the pain and suffering you may be experiencing
18.
Picture yourself as a little kid and think about how innocent your actions are
19.
We are just along for the ride. The rest will play itself out.
20.
Keep going because one day you might see the big picture and how important your role was in all of it
21.
If you're someone who is super self critical you can try this-you can say I forgive you. Picture yourself doing the thing that triggers the self criticism and then picture that self as a kid
22.
Do anything - when the time is right you will look for awakening. This is all part of the process
23.
I will try to listen to how I feel.
24.
Trust that your future self will take care of you
25.
I love you
26.
There is power coming from a place of observation rather than a place of judgment
27.
Take time to let yourself know how much you love you and that your here for you
28.
Be there for yourself, be patient hold your inner child
29.
The moment isn’t that bad, it isn’t so painful if you look at it, what actually hurts?
30.
No need to fight or struggle with yourself
31.
No need to try to improve the moment
32.
The past only exists in your mind this moment right now is the only thing that exists it’s completely new
33.
The past and future seem like monsters but the moment is the only thing that exists
34.
Try to work on being with pain, it’s your biggest teacher
35.
The future might be a scary place, and It also does not exist right now
36.
The first step is accepting the moment as it is
37.
The power you have in the future starts with this moment
38.
Everything will reveal itself, your just along for the journey
39.
You can’t outthink the mind, come back to the breath or just sit and wait. Eventually things will quiet down.
40.
If we are just a collection of the universe (atoms) then consciousness is the universe we are the universe-our consciousness is what we consume and what is around us
41.
Wherever you are at, whatever you are doing - you are not alone in it
42.
Something fun to do is to look at a really difficult situation in your life and gamify it. You can see your situation as an opportunity to level up and gain XP. You can spend the time seeing a difficult situation as an opportunity for growth and an opportunity to find a deeper answer that rings true to your true self.
43.
Is fear that learns to relax. When you practice, the fear slowly integrates and you connect and become one with your inner self a bit more bit by bit. Understanding it’s safe to let your sun shine and that comes with practice, time, understanding
44.
Try changing yourself instead of trying to change the mirror
45.
You are a superhero, just by getting up and getting through the day in this human body-you are doing super work
46.
Do everything you can, then:
Forget about the outcome
47.
Think about yourself right now as a cute little kid enjoying the little things in life. The innocence and intrigue of childhood
48.
It’s very hard to try to force the ego away to die
Your much better off making friends with it, understanding it and its complexities, learning and creating a dialogue with it and then it can learn to slowly give you more and more space
49.
The power of, “I forgive u”, whether yourself or others.
50.
First comes research, figure it out- then implement practical changes in your life to change your behaviour and hence your mind
51.
Come back to body
52.
Getting through the hard days, appreciating the good ones
53.
For me, meditation is about reconnecting with the parts of self that have been silenced during the day. A time to hear, check-in and reassess how the inner environment is doing.
54.
Maybe 10 minutes, whatever feels good.
55.
Meditation can be a purifying time in your day
56.
Trying to convince yourself that you want something when you really don’t, then you can’t enjoy cause deep down you don’t like it
57.
4 components to recovery: physical, mental, spiritual and external world
58.
Meditation is processing time for me, I use it to sit and allow the mind to do what it needs to do until it gets to a natural place of rest. Instead of trying to force it to be calm and quiet, one should give it the space and time to naturally settle
59.
It’s not how can I be more mindful, but what is blocking me from my natural state of presence in this moment
60.
You are a player in the video game of your life. Maybe this moment is difficult, maybe it’s level 100, but as long as you stick with it, you are playing the game right. Keep going, keep trying never give up
61.
Understand that no matter how hard life gets, you are still the one watching the experience, you may feel blended with it but you are and always will be the one watching
62,
Being human can be hard, scary and feel almost impossible sometimes. Always remember, you (at your core) are the one watching the experience. Although you may find yourself blended with emotion, there will always be the dichotomy of you and the experiences you are having.
63.
You are doing great just doing your work
64.
If there is fear in spirituality, it is not true spirituality
65.
If you get enough space, life can start to look very beautiful
66.
You gotta burn off the karma at some point. Sometimes you just got to take it with awareness and compassion
67.
Mindfulness isn’t about trying to focus on the breath or forcing yourself to notice the moment. It’s the practice of realizing what is in front of you and slowly allowing those parts making all the noise to fade (in their due time) allowing the body and mind to meet its natural state of awareness
68.
There no such thing as missing your life, you can show up with anything
69.
Showing up in any way
70.
If you are really suffering and don’t know why. This is permission for you to stop and say, this is my karma-I don’t know why it’s happening- and this will pass
71.
Mindfulness is not really an action but a natural state the mind is in. You are aware of something right now, right? The process of giving the body the time to digest and process feelings and emotions can result in the feeling of unobstructed-awareness of this moment.
72.
There a lot more going on in this moment than you think
73.
Every experience is a learning experience
74.
As long as we continue to take steps to try to be better and find truth, we are doing as we should
75.
Karma exists in the body, when we come back to the body, we can move through the painful and stuck feelings being with them-hence moving through our karma
76.
You can connect to our shared connection through your body (going inwards)
77.
Your innermost self, the awareness behind everything is god, is the true self and the part that connects us.
78.
Learn to rest, then you can truly begin to work.
79.
Have deep trust to be able to have deep truth. Trust in the body, shared connection, the universe etc…
80.
I am lucky I exist and am able to feel the depth of the suffering of my being as well as the joy, the feeling of waking up after a good sleep, the feeling of a warm shower, the feeling of an ice bath, the feeling of a terrible night sleep. The agony of having a mind, as well as the peace of being in connection
81.
The fact that I get to exist for this short period of time, to witness all this craziness and goodness.
82.
So many of the world's problems would go away if we could just sit with it. Sit with the
feeling we have been trying to get away from all day. With fear, anger, sadness, sitting and supporting the feeling as it exists, coming back to the body-trying to reconnect with inner truth
83.
Nothing is permanent and I am learning and growing and evolving all the time.
84.
Meditation is a compassionate practice that one does in a light, easy manner. It's a practice of coming to see reality as it is through the filter of mind. It starts by sitting in a posture and setting a timer.
85.
Meditation is a reconnection session for me. A time to sit until I feel ready to move on with the day. A time to feel the feelings as they exist in my body. A time to be gentle with myself and feel that feeling.
86.
The thing isn't about doing the thing right, it's about the reaction the inner environment has to doing the thing. Do things and notice the inner reaction. That space that we get is more elements of freedom
87.
Your relationship to yourself is always changing and evolving. Work on it like you would a relationship with someone else.
88.
Go fully into experience whatever you are experiencing, go into it fully embrace yourself
if the feeling of peace, pain, or whatever is present
89.
The moment might be painful, you may try mindfulness and be scared or freaked out by how much pain or uncertainty is present in this moment.
90.
Maybe you haven't visited inside in a while
91.
You are exactly where u need to be right now
92.
Usually anxiety makes one retreat to the thoughts in the mind which are arguably the most unstable elements of reality.
93.
Fuck transcendence, first try to feel good in your body and your life
94.
Feel what you are feeling fully, moving towards the feeling. It's right here within you. Come back to the feeling present in the body right now, what is there is what is.
95.
It's a practice, but I think learning that reconnection is the thing
96.
Loving yourself isn't all about saying I love you to yourself or trying to not berate yourself. It's about bringing awareness to the parts of yourself that are hurt or stuck or in the moment when you are judging yourself bringing awareness and energy to that being with the feeling etc...
97.
Try to be a good person, help others.
98.
Put one foot in front of the next and keep going.
99.
The fear is the disconnection from self
100.
Can I be with myself in the moment no matter what
101.
By spending time healing yourself, you are purifying your own and other people's karma. So you can be a source of love and radiance for yourself, that will spread quickly and deeply help others around you.
102.
Being with the movie of life through the difficult feelings (boredom, loneliness, etc...) experiencing them fully then moving on is a place to aim for
103.
Rebuilding self trust is a process. It's affirming when you do something or have the intention to, to follow through and build that self reliance and trust
104.
You are doing so good, it's hard to be human sometimes. And you are doing to it best and
that is so good
105.
Forgive yourself, you are doing so well being human right now.
106.
If you're going through a difficult situation: Keep going. Don't give up. As long as you
keep trying to do the right thing, to find answers, to get better, the universe will eventually reward you.
107.
This is your mission, this is what you are here for.
108.
What does trying look like: it looks like asking for help, researching techniques and methods to feel better, understanding your circumstances and adapting and engaging with them, finding your emotions and feelings while getting more in touch with your inner environment.
109.
Where there is life there is hope.
110.
Giving up control when you are struggling mentally can be so helpful.
It's when we try to have control over everything we get weighed down by that perception. How can we give up control?
111.
Fuck transcendence, I want to know my boundaries, my likes vs dislikes, I want to know what makes me happy and the ability to say no to what doesn't, have the courage to follow what interests me
112.
Finding my way back to myself
Accepting yourself so you can move on and move forward
113.
The question isn't how can I be more present, rather what's blocking me in this moment from my natural state of presence in this moment
114.
The power of forgiveness for your idiosyncratic behavior. For the way you show up on relationships. For the way you relate to the people around you. Change happens
through acceptance that starts in forgiveness
115.
"For now"
116.
When you are tapped into the larger consciousness. A drop of fear does very little vs being in a contained glass of water and that drop could color the whole cup.
You are totally and completely involved in the divine order
117.
You don't have to try to force yourself to do something you don't want to
118.
Trying once or twice a day to congratulate yourself on being human and how well you're doing can go a long way.
119.
You are doing the best you can with the tools you were given
120.
With meditation, even the most painful of experiences can seem gorgeous
